Soon after he encounters the Dust Men and their leader, Alden a powerful Telekinetic Conduit.
After making the Dust Men little more than a skirmish threat, Cole encounters Alden on the bridge to the historic district and Alden leaps from the bridge. Cole faces the first sons in the Historic District, fighting off their armies of hardened men and woman, and their Conduits.
John and Moya are reunited, John then leads Cole to deal with the Ray Sphere once and for all.
The outcome is not what is expected, and when Cole destroys the Ray Sphere he and John are blasted with the energy of it, given the abilities of a Conduit of Cole's level.
John, Cole, and Zeke prepare for their final battle with Kessler.. when Cole is called by Kessler.
Kessler says how he has Trish, and immediately, Cole fights Kessler at the Ray Sphere's blast site. Trish is saved in the process and Kessler tells Cole who he really is.
Kessler tells how he is Cole MacGrath, from the future, in a different time line. And how that in the future a powerful Conduit known as "the Beast" is ravaging and killing all who oppose it and he was not powerful enough to stop in.
Kessler begs Cole to kill him, and Cole refuses, offering his friendly hand to Kessler.
Kessler accepts this, and thus, the start of TF118 began to come into form

Cole, Kessler, Zeke, and Trish have all been working with the United States Government along with John and Moya trying to help the country as much as they can.
Meanwhile, on the human side of the war things are looking bleak... Even with the help of John, Moya, Kessler, Cole, Zeke, and Trish the Revolution is still pressing on them. At this rate, the US Military has been pushed too far back.
There are Conduits whom wish to help fight the Revolution however, though there are few in number that wish this, and no one Conduit can stand up to an army.
